Mumbai, Aug 7: Katrina Kaif is bitten by the singing bug this time, and the aspiring singer had planned earlier to croon for Yash Raj Film’s "Dhoom 3", but she has put that plan on halt and now will lend her voice for a romantic song, written by Gulzar saab and composed by A.R Rahman for an upcoming flick by YRF with which Yash Chopra is making his comeback as a director.
A source close to Kat has said that the actress has grown ambitious and wants to sing the complicated song penned down by Gulzar for the YRF film instead of lending her voice for a song in the film "Dhoom 3". She will be rehearsing for a week before the final recording of the song. A friend of Katrina tells that Kat always loved singing but would never sing in public.
Lat year she performed a show with Rahman saab for a charity where she recited nursery rhymes for children. Since then the actress has been bonding quite well with the ace composer, and this idea of singing for his song took seed. Even Ali Zafar had offered her earlier to sing for his album, but Katrina shied away. But now she has agreed to sing a romantic number for the YRF.
