Chennai, Jul 25: South's sensational director Shankar for the first time in his life remade a film '3 Idiots' smitten by its success in Bollywood. However the film failed to deliver rich dividends. He vowed not to make any remakes in future. Chiyan Vikram national award winner for best actor in Pitaamagan, couldn't find much success after 'Anniyan' at box office though his role in 'Deiva Thirumagal' won many accolades. Now both these stalwarts are joining hands to recreate the magic of Anniyan and have a blast on silver screen.

The crazy project in their combo even more crazily titled as 'I' was launched couple of days back on 15th of this month in a quiet and serene atmosphere without much fanfare in Shankar's studios. The film makers released 'I' first look recently and it immediately created immense impact on movie lovers.

The film is a romantic thriller and shows Vikram lifting his girlfriend on his back giving a feeling that it will be a violent love story. Shankar explaining 'I' said, "I means beauty, king, guru, astonishment, vulnerability (softness/gentleness) etc." Renowned cinematographer PC Sreeram is teaming up with Shankar for the first time. AR Rahman is the music director and V Ravichandran is producing 'I' under Aascar Film Pvt Ltd banner. Keeping the popularity of Vikram and Shankar in mind, producer is trying make 'I', a bi-lingual movie.
