Melbourne, Jan 27: Beyonce and Jay-Z have zeroed on Oprah Winfrey to be their daughter Blue Ivy's godmother.

According to News.com.au, the music power couple chose the talk show queen for the role, as they did not want to select a blood relative, a source told Media Take Out.

Jay-Z's best friend and road manager, Tyran "Ty Ty" Smith, has been asked to be the baby's godfather.

The cable network CEO is a close friend to the pair and reportedly sent baby Blue a trunk full of books after her birth.

The couple had welcomed their first child in New York on January 7th. (ANI)
