London, May 14: Italian fashion house Versace is to launch a children's wear line next year.

'This is a high-end, glamorous and colourful collection in line with the brand's essence, with a touch of rock 'n' roll. Donatella Versace strongly supports and is behind the project, we have a state-of-the-art technological platform and supply chain, and we directly manage our core business,' femalefirst.co.uk quoted Gian Giacomo Ferraris, chief executive officer of Versace as saying.

The collection which is aimed at children up to the age of 12 will incorporate the label's iconic symbols, such as the Greek frieze and the Medusa while adding a more youthful and ironic twist.
