August 13, 2010: In recent news from the fashion world, Philip Green has been employed by David Cameron to carry out an effectiveness review. This review would then be looking into the government’s yearly spending bill over the coming three years.
The Arcadia boss is out to abolish inefficiencies and recognize possible savings. He says that their shared knowledge in the procurement in the goods and services sector are spread across a wide geological area of the UK.
This will allow them to have significant benchmarked information, which would be useful.
Green said that he has been hired to give efficiency review and he knows its value. He would, therefore, want to try out his best.
Green will account his findings in the month of October to the minister of the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, and to the chief secretary to the treasury, Danny Alexander.
Maude said that they were extremely happy as well as fortunate to have Green on board. He would definitely be helpful with his vast commercial experience.
