New York, Aug 17 - Pop singer Lance Bass has claimed on Twitter that a security guard at a club chucked a drink at his face.

Bass, 31, was at the Bridgehampton Polo Club when the incident with the female guard took place.

"Wow! Some woman security guard took my drink and threw my drink on me and sai[d] 'get the f - - k out' I'm so confused why that just happened!" the New York Post quoted him as tweeting.

But sources close to Bridgehampton Polo said Bass was in the VIP tent and was being asked to leave an hour after last call.

Insiders said a drink was spilled on Bass, but insisted it happened only after guards tried to "guide" him out gently. (ANI)
