March 18, 2010: Thilakan, who was supposed to do a Hollywood film, Dam 999, has been replaced by well-known Bollywood actor-director Rajat Kapoor to do the film. The role was given to Rajat after the filmmakers were issued a notice by the Film Employees’ Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) that if Thilakan did the role, they would boycott the film.

Dam 999 is directed by NRI Sohan Roy and is set in India. Rajat Kapoor has begun shooting for the film. Sufi Paranja Katha actor Thampi Antony is also a part of Dam 999. He will start shooting for it at Hyderabad from the next schedule onwards in May.
