March 18, 2010: Although the capital, Thiruvananthapuram, has been missing from films for a while, it is set to become the backdrop of films again. A number of films are planning on shooting there ever since the locations in northern Kerala have become unsuitable for shooting because of the heat wave.

The Mohanlal starrer Oru Naal Varum, which is directed by Rajeevkumar, will be one of the first films to start shooting in the capital. The film will be completed within 60 days, in one schedule. Kanyakumari Express, Suresh Gopi’s film will also be shot at Thiruvananthapuram. Kabir Rauther’s film, Inganeyum Oral, is also being shot there and will complete its shooting in a few weeks time.
