London, Mar 9 - British singer Sir Elton John's Oscars party is said to have raised 4million pounds.

John, 62, raised part of the money for his Aids Foundation with a celebrity auction.

Prizes included a tennis lesson with Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, and a break in one of John and David Furnish's homes.

"We're supposedly struggling through a recession, and yet it keeps getting better every year," the Mirror quoted John as saying. (ANI)
