London, March 8 - Hollywood actor Matt Damon has revealed he was targeted by an impostor over the Christmas holidays last year.
Damon was rumoured to have spent New Year on a cruise in Australia with his family, after a man claiming to be Damon fooled fans in Sydney signing autographs and enjoying VIP service, reports imdb.com.
The actor is adamant he wasn't in Australia over the holidays and puts the sightings of him down to a lookalike who has been impersonating Down Under.
'That was somebody pretending to be me. It happens. My wife used to work in a bar (in Miami, Florida) and the bartender called us once, saying, 'There's a guy in here who looks like you and says he is you.' There was some guy sitting in the VIP section getting free champagne,' he said.
