Melbourne, Jan 27 - 'Mad Max' star Mel Gibson has revealed that he has let go of his bodyguards and will use a gun to protect his family.

According to Showbizspy.com, Gibson, 54, who is living with his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva and their two-month-old baby daughter Lucia, also said that he would not be able to do anything if his time is up.

"I did have bodyguards for a little while but it's a drag," News.com.au quoted him as saying.

"If your number's up, it's up. If I'm lying in bed and somebody comes into my room, I'll either wake up or I won't.

"And I'll either hit 'em with my big stick that I've got or my gun that I have stowed away... or they'll hit me," he added. (ANI)
