London, Jan 11 - Actress Angelina Jolie has been dropped as the face of a fashion house.

Luxury knitwear firm St John is replacing her with model Karen Elson because they wanted a break from actresses, reported mirror.co.uk.

"We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes. Three years is a long time for any campaign," said St John head Glenn McMahon.

The adverts featuring Elson, 30, wife of White Stripes rocker Jack White, will appear next month.
