London, Jan 4 - Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal is planning to take a break from acting to pursue a course at the Columbia University, New York.

The "October Sky" star had quit his course at the university to pursue a career in Hollywood, reports express.co.uk.

"I dropped out of Columbia University in 2000 after two years of studying Eastern religions and philosophy to concentrate on acting. But I have always wanted to finish my degree."
