'Walking on Broken Das,' produced by Ashvin Gidwani Productions,the latest stand-up comedy act by comedian Vir Das opened to a packed house yesterday at the TATA theatre, NCPA. India's most acclaimed Stand-up comedian experimented with different styles of standup comedy. In addition to his conventional stand up…the show also featured musical comedy and spiritual comedy as Vir came out in different characters and avatars. Vir's comic act took theatre to a whole new level of irreverence. The show began with a spiritual comedic journey hosted by Maestro Ravi Darshan. It then took a step towards the slightly bizarre and exclusively British -Lord Nassar Davis. The plot then returned to India with Shrimati Sara Samdhan, a sixty year old woman from Punjabi Bagh. The show then stormed into a comedic performance by the man himself-as Himself! The show ended with a performance by Alien Chutney, Vir Das' new rock band with their unique brand of comedy rock.

The show saw the who's who of Mumbai city laugh their heads off as the man went on a roller-coaster ride with his satirical comedy. No one around was spared.

Bollywood heart throb Imran Khan walked in with his girlfriend Avantika Malik for this show. Gul Panag was seen enjoying the act with a group of friends. The others who were seen at the show were Roshan Abbas, Manjiri Phadnis, Ruslan Mumtaz, VJ Yudi, RJ Taraana, Shruti Seth, Mohomed and Lucky Morani and Dolly Thakore. -Sampurn Media
