He has made films like Who Lamhe and Awarapan and after trying different genres he is all set to present horror flick Raaz. Mohit Suri speaks about his forthcoming film and actors and reveals some secrets about the film.

This is for the first time you have tried horror genre. Tell us how did you conceive the idea of making Raaz?
Basically my idea was not to make the sequel. I had a supernatural film. It’s based on the theme that Saint Kabeer had actually said 400 years back. The greatest evil is not the one outside but the one within us. That something that connected with me and I decided to write the story on it.

It is believed that Kangana has very challenging role in Raaz, tell us more about it.
I think Kangana is the most brilliant actress we have in the industry. There are no two ways about it. She has done four film and in all her she has been appreciated for her performance. It’s true that she is yet become a huge star which many of her contemporaries have become much earlier than her.

All your films had Emraan and now he is there in Razz too what’s the secret behind it?
It wasn’t easy for me to make a horror film without Emraan. Since the age of four to five we have been watching horror films together. Before even I had the idea ready I told him that I want to make a horror film, he told me that I am in it. Emraan loves horror films thus it was impossible for me to make a horror film without him. Adhyayan on the other hand I needed a new boy for it because it’s a new character.

Its music is getting is doing well. Which is your favorite song from the movie?
My favorite is song De De Mera Sath. It’s a song that I have co written with the main lyricists. This was written when I was having problem with my girlfriend. That time we composed this song. I think it’s a beautiful song which has all beautiful emotions in it.

Your film introduces a new actor Adhyayan Suman, tell us about him.
I think Adhyayan has it in him and not just to be someone’s boyfriend. Apaprt from Raaz he is there in Vishesh’s one more film which is called Jashn. That’s going to be his first solo lead film. I think Adhyayan is very much talented and will prove himself soon.

According to reports the film is better than the previous Raaz, what do you have to say about it?
I am very critical about my own work. I am not that kind of person who will go out and say that I have made the masterpiece but none the less all I can say is I have given my best and I hope that’s good enough.
