The Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan historical saga 'Jodhaa Akbar' is a favourite to win the prestigious BAFTA award.

Reportedly Ashutosh Gowarikar's big budget period movie has been nominated in the Best Foreign Category. The bigger surprise is that critics think it has a very good chance of landing right on top.

If 'Jodhaa Akbar' indeed ends up winning, it would be a huge accolade for the film. A big consolation for Ashutosh Gowarikar since it did not fare as expected at the Box Office.  And we all know how much hard work and detailing he put into the film.

The picture will be clearer when the final nominations list for the BAFTA awards are announced on January 15th. The ceremony itself will take place in the Royal Opera House in London on 8th February.

Well, let's see if the Venus- Adonis pairing of Hrithik Roshan- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the dedication of Gowarikar works wonders! –(SAMPURN)
