International model, pin-up girl and Canadian-Indian phirangi phataka Rachel Wood who has been signed on by the US-based, start-up firm Purple Fire Films for an international Hindi film project clarified that she is not to be mistaken with Evan Rachel Wood.

Spokesperson, manager and publicist for Purple Fire Films, Flynn Remedios said, "After the article appeared on Bollywood websites, we got several calls from TV channels and publications for an interview with 'The Rachel Wood'. However, we wish to clarify that Rachel Natasha Wood who has been signed on for our project is not at all connected with American actress and singer Evan Rachel Wood. To add to the confusion, some websites used the article with a photo of Evan Rachel Wood adding to the confusion. In fact, Rachel Natasha Wood, has spent a lot of time in India and says she is foremost an Indian at heart.

According to Wikipedia, Evan Rachel Wood, born September 7, 1987 is an American actress and singer. She began her acting career in the late 1990s, appearing in several television roles, including American Gothic and Once and Again. She made her debut as a leading film actress in 2002's Little Secrets, and became well known after her transition to a more adult oriented Golden Globe-nominated role in the critically acclaimed Thirteen (2003).

Wood continued acting in mostly independent films, including Pretty Persuasion (2005), Down in the Valley (2006), Running With Scissors (2006), and in the big studio production Across the Universe(2007). Wood's acting has drawn critical praise and has been described by The Guardian newspaper as being "wise beyond her years" and as "one of the best actresses of her generation". She has also starred as Hellen Keller and featured opposite Kevin Bacon, says her entry in Wikipedia.
