Imagine Showbiz finds out on No Biz Like Showbiz this week…
"No Biz Like Showbiz unravels the hurdles faced by corporate like UTV & Reliance ADAG".
Sustaining the monopoly, the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has relentlessly avoided the entry of corporate companies into the Tamil Film Industry. Major entertainment players such as UTV & Reliance have constantly tried to make a beeline in the Tamil Film industry but have failed to make headway due to the persistent impasse by the TFPC. Bringing you the real picture, this week, No Biz Like Showbiz analyses the reasons for the bottleneck in the industry.
Joining the critical discussion with host Neha Uppal is Ram Mirchandani, CEO, UTV Rampage who says “We are not paying directors or actors more than the market rate. Even if we are paying them, it’s good for the industry. We are making movies in low-priced rates. Poi Solla Poren was made for Rs 2.11 corers!” Also giving inputs are Anil Jain, Managing Director, Black & White Pictures Pvt. Ltd. and Prabhakaran, Vice President, Tamil Film Producer's Council, from Chennai.
For all this and more, tune into No Biz like Showbiz only on Imagine Showbiz at 11.30 am on Sunday, November 9th, 2008. -(SAMPURN)
