Anil KapoorAnil Kapoor has given his bye bye to serious cinema and intends to work only in 'commercially viable' ventures henceforth. Anil wont be producing any serious films nor will be acting in them at least for coming next 2-3 years. A close pal of the talented actor told us, "Anil's decision came up from the fact that his first produced film, Gandhi My Father though critically well acclaimed was a dismal failure at the ticket window. Then the hopes he had from his Subhash Ghai film on terrorism, Black & White also came crashing down when it opened to empty halls. On the other hand, his extremely commercial ventures like Welcome and Race were super hits at the box office.

Anil has currently in production a comedy film, Shortkut starring Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao with himself and Sanjay Dutt in a special appearance for a dance number. He intends to start his third production very soon starring Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh and himself in the lead to be directed by Anees Bazmee which is also an out and out comedy. So all his fans expecting him to play those mature and serious parts again be prepared to get dissappointed!
