Govinda has lost 8 kg while shooting for Loot with Sunil Shetty in Bangkok. Hua yun ke, Suniel, who was health conscious in Bollywood even before gyms were invented, took one look at Govinda and decided he needed to lose weight. Bas, phir kya? All supply of oily and creamy edibles was stopped. Govinda was served carbohydrates only for lunch. And  lots of fruits all day. Govinda was allowed to eat only special meals cooked by Suniel's cousin.

The results are spectacular. "I've lost eight kg," says Govinda proudly. "I feel lighter and appier. I will continue to watch my weight even if Suniel isn't monitoring my weight," adds a happy Govinda. It looks like drastic weight loss is the new fad in tinsel town. From Kareena Kapoor to Om Puri everyone is into the newborn vogue of crash diets.
