After displaying their comic timings and flair for comedy in films for about two decades, Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Govinda will team up together for the first time in David Dhawan's forthcoming film 'Partner'.

The film is scheduled to be released on July 20 and is being distributed globally by Eros International.

Produced by Salman's yongest brother Sohail Khan and K Sera Sera, the film comes through a major output deal signed by Eros with K Sera Sera last year, an Eros International spokesperson said here today.

'Eros has a long association with Dhawan, who is undoubtedly one of the best comedy directors of Bollywood. We have distributed many of his films including 'Shaadi No 1', 'Ek Aur Ek Gyarah', 'Jodi No 1', 'Chal Mere Bhai' and 'Biwi No 1' among others. We are very excited about 'Partner', which we are distributing globally,' said Sunil Lulla, president of Eros International India.

This year, Eros International has released 'Salaam-E-Ishq', 'Eklavya', 'Provoked', 'Namastey London' and 'Cheeni Kum'. Apart from 'Partner', other releases in the run up to August include 'Gandhi My Father' and 'Heyy Babyy', he added.

'Partner' is a sophisticated romantic comedy. Salman Khan plays the character of Prem, a city-based 'date doctor' who, for a fee, has helped hundreds of men get the woman of their dreams. In his childhood, he understood a woman's likes and dislikes in food, clothes or men. His aim is to help those men who like or love women, said Sohail Khan.

He said Prem, the ultimate professional bachelor, discovers that all of his tried and tested tricks of the trade are no match for Naina (Lara Dutta), the one and only woman he truly loves, who works for a newspaper as a journalist.

He comes across Bhaskar (Govinda), who is in love with Priya Jaisingh (Katrina Kaif), the rich and famous daughter of a business tycoon, he added.
