After providing chartbusters like 'Woh Lamhey' and 'Aadat' for Bollywood flicks 'Zeher' and 'Kalyug', Pakistani band 'Jal' says that it ready to lend its vocals for more ventures here.
"We are open to any good work, and we really enjoyed working on the projects so far," says Farhan Seead Butt, lead vocalist, told PTI.
About good music, Butt says, "A well composed song, personified with honest and heart felt lyrics and spirited rhythms will be heard by music enthusiasts all around the world." Various Pakistani bands like Junoon and Strings have made their mark in India, with Junoon contributing to even a few Hindi films.
Pakistan might be known for its Sufiana Sangeet and ghazals, but bands like Jal and Junoon are fusing traditional forms music with new strands to attract the youth.
According to the members of 'Jal,' the band fuses Urdu vocals with modern rock and emphasizes on the melodies and content. "Alap, is our distinguishing feature which makes us stand apart from other bands," says Butt.
Other lead members of the band include, Gohar Mumtaz, its lead composer and lyricist and Shazi Aamir, the guitarist.
Like any other Pakistani band, Jal also likes performing in India. "Being a Pakistani band and performing in India feels very close, India is a second home for us," says Aamir.
