Bollywood actress Archana Joglekar deposed before a local court for the second day today in connection with her allegation that a man had attempted to outrage her modesty in a government-run hotel here nine years ago.
Joglekar appeared in camera in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge R K Saran, presiding over a fast track court, and was cross-examined by the defence lawyer.
Additional public prosecutor Suryanarayan Das said Joglekar answered all questions during the cross-examination.
The court fixed the next hearing of the case for January five, when two doctors of the capital hospital who had examined her and the then inspector in-charge of Bargarh police station will depose.
Joglekar in her FIR, had alleged that she was staying at the hotel while shooting for an Oriya film, when a man, identified as Bhuban Panda, barged into her room at about midnight on November 30, 1997 and assaulted her.
On the basis of her FIR at Bargarh police station, a case was registered against the man under sections 307, 354, 452 and 376 read with 511 of IPC.
