Popular Indian music bands will organise live shows in different cities of Pakistan next week. While 'Stereo Nation' will perform in Lahore on September 1, other music bands like 'Bombay Rockers' and 'Richi Rich' will entertain fans in Karachi and Islamabad.

According to Jahanzeb Khan, the event organiser, Richi Rich would perform at Karachi Air Force Club on August 29, Bombay Rockers would enrich the pop music scene in Islamabad on August 31, and 'Stereo Nation' would rock Lahore on September 1.

"When Stereo Nation toured here a few years ago, Lahoris gave them a whopping welcome in terms of large crowds at its concert," the Daily Times quoted him as saying.

Jahanzeb said that the concerts were being organised to promote a new music channel recently been launched. Pakistani singers Ali Azmat, Ibrar-ul-Haq and Abbas Ali Khan would also perform, and strict security arrangements had been made for the concerts, he added.

Taz, the main vocalist of Stereo Nation is a British-born Asian brought up in Warwickshire in the UK, who established himself as a recording artist with the release of his debut album, 'Hit the Deck'. He stormed the UK Asian pop charts for 36 weeks at number one. The album became a big hit when it came to selling records of Asian fusion. A pioneer of pop fusion, a lyricist, composer and producer, Taz became the byword for cross-cultural music in no time.  --- ANI
